[Senior Member] Summary of benefits of ANA Premium Member Status

In this article, I have summarized the benefits of the ``Premium Member Service'' status provided by ANA Mileage Club.

When in doubt, look at this and you'll be solved!

As a premium member service, there are three levels of status: Diamond, Platinum, and Bronze, and Super Flyers (SFC), which allows you to become a semi-permanent advanced member.

By summarizing the benefits, you will be able to understand the differences between each status, so please refer to it.

ANA premium member status

ANA has three status levels based on usage history: Bronze, Platinum, and Diamond. These are called ANA senior members. Senior members of Platinum and above, including SFC, can also qualify for Star Alliance Gold membership with ANA.

Key benefits include access to ANA lounges, dedicated security checkpoints, priority boarding, and priority reservations for international award tickets.

I created a table to compare benefits by status.

There are many benefits that premium members receive.

Conditions for achieving premium member status

The conditions to achieve premium member status are as follows.

<Three status achievement conditions>

Bronze : 30,000 annual premium points(15,000 of which are for flights operated by ANA Group)

Platinum : 50,000 annual premium points(of which 25,000 are for flights operated by ANA Group)

Diamond : 100,000annual premium points(50,000 of which are for flights operated by ANA Group)

The accrual period for premium points is from January to December every year. Premium points will not be carried over to the next year, so you need to accumulate premium points in one year to reach status.

If you can become a platinum member, you can apply for the Super Flyers Card (SFC), which allows you to maintain your status semi-permanently.

If you have ANA premium status, you can also receive benefits on Star Alliance member airlines.

Benefits of achieving bronze status

Bronze membership is the easiest status to obtain and is said to have few benefits. We have picked out the main benefits when compared to general members who do not have status.

  • Bronze member service desk
  • Priority reservations for domestic boarding passes, award tickets, and combined mileage discounts
  • upgrade points
  • flight bonus miles
  • Miles → Multiplier when exchanging SKY coins

Service desk for premium members only

A premium member-only service desk is available exclusively to Bronze members. You can make inquiries about airline ticket reservations, mileage services, and premium member services.

Even during times when it is difficult to connect at the service desk for general members, if you use the line exclusively for premium members, you will be able to connect to an operator relatively quickly.

You can also ask for assistance at the service desk when reserving, changing, or refunding award tickets, so you don't have to worry if you're worried about completing the procedures online.

The benefit of these procedures is that they can be completed in less time than regular members.

Advance reservations for domestic flights are possible, domestic flight award tickets, and advance reservations for Issho-ni Mile Discount.

This is a benefit that allows you to reserve fares that are sold all at once during each ANA service period, prior to their general sale. This is a great benefit if you have a flight ticket for the date and time you want to save.

You can make advance reservations for domestic award tickets and mileage discounts using miles for dates that are easily filled. This is a benefit that allows you to use your accumulated miles more effectively.

Upgrade points awarded

You can upgrade your seat by using the upgrade points you receive. However, upgrade points will not be awarded during the pre-service period. Available from April 1st of the following year.

30,000 Premium Points will give you 10 Upgrade Points .

By using these points, you can receive ANA's premium services.

There are three ways to use upgrade points:

seat class upgrade

On domestic flights, you can upgrade from regular seats to premium class by using 4 Upgrade Points per person.

On international flights, you can upgrade to premium economy or business class by using 4 to 10 upgrade points.

Lounge use

You can enter the ANA lounge by using 2 Upgrade Points per person.

Exchange for ANA SKY coins

Each upgrade point can be exchanged for 1000 ANA SKY coins.

ANA SKY Coins can be used like cash to pay for airline tickets and travel products. 1 coin is worth 1 yen.

flight bonus miles

Earn bonus miles on top of the miles earned on your flights.

If you have an ANA card, you will receive an additional 5% accrual rate.

Additional bonus miles when holding an ANA card

  • Status 1st year: 45%
  • Status 2nd year: 55%

Additional bonus miles if you do not have an ANA card

  • Status 1st year: 40%
  • Status 2nd year: 50%

Exchange miles to ANA SKY coins at special multipliers

When exchanging 10,000 miles or more to ANA SKY COINS, the exchange rate will be up to 1.7x.

If you exchange more than 50,000 miles at once, the exchange rate is 1.7x.

50,000 miles can be exchanged for 85,000 SkyCoins.

For general AMC members, the maximum is 1.2 times. (60000 Sky Coins)

Benefits of achieving platinum status

Platinum membership is the second middle status. Another point is that you can join the Super Flyers Card. Compared to bronze status, there are many people who accumulate premium points with the goal of achieving platinum status, as it offers more benefits. We have picked out the benefits of platinum benefits when compared to bronze and regular members.

Additionally, as a Star Alliance Gold member, you can use Star Alliance member airline lounges at over 1,000 airports around the world when boarding flights operated by Star Alliance member airlines.

Priority check-in counter

Priority check-in counters for Platinum members are available for both domestic and international flights. You can use ANA Premium Check-in on domestic flights. On international flights, you can use Business Class check-in counters and Star Alliance Gold check-in counters.

You cannot use ANA Suite Check-in or First Class check-in counters.

When using domestic flights, you can check in up to 20 kg of free baggage allowance.

If you are in premium class, you can check up to 60 kg instead of the usual 40 kg, and if you are in the standard seat, you can check in up to 40 kg instead of the usual 20 kg.

When traveling on international flights, you can check in an extra piece of baggage in addition to the free baggage allowance.

For first order, up to 32 kg x 3 pieces + 1 piece

23kg per piece up to 3 pieces

For Star Alliance member airlines, there is a preferential treatment of up to 1 item when using a piece system and up to 20 kg when using a weight system.

Use of dedicated security checkpoint

You can use a dedicated security checkpoint when boarding a flight operated by the ANA Group. Even when the general inspection site is crowded, you can be guided smoothly.

Domestic flights

You can use the dedicated security checkpoint inside ANA PREMIUM CHECK-IN. The target airports are as follows.

Target airports: Haneda Airport, New Chitose Airport, Fukuoka Airport, Itami Airport, Naha Airport (baggage drop-off is at the priority check-in counter)

As mentioned above, although it is a useful service, it is not available at many airports. Also, you cannot use ANA SUITE CHECK-IN, which is only available at Haneda Airport.

International flight

STAR ALLIANCE GOLD TRACK is available. In Japan, this applies to Narita Airport. It can be used at airports around the world, even when connecting to/from Star Alliance member airlines and connecting partners.

You can also use priority security checkpoints (priority lanes) at Narita and Haneda airports.

Priority boarding available

Priority boarding is an easy way to experience advanced status. You can board the plane with priority over the general public. Some people may think that there is no point in getting on a plane early, but I think there is.

If you board at the end of the day when the flight is crowded, you may not be able to put your luggage in the upper shelf. In that case, you may have no choice but to place it far away from your seat.

Getting off the plane can also be a hassle. When you have a lot of baggage, I feel there are tremendous benefits to priority boarding.

The boarding order is as follows:

  1. Advance ticket gate service (for those who require assistance, those who are pregnant or traveling with infants)
  2. Group1: Diamond First Class
  3. Group 2: Platinum Super Flyers Stara Gold Premier Class
  4. Group 3, 4, 5: General boarding (window side → middle seat → aisle seat)

You can join Super Flyers

By achieving Platinum status or higher, you can apply for Super Flyers membership. If you can obtain a credit card, the advantage is that you can maintain your advanced status permanently as long as you hold the credit card.

Benefits of achieving Diamond status

Diamond membership is the highest level of ANA premium membership. There are many benefits available to you as a top-tier member. We have selected the benefits of achieving Diamond Status membership. Of course, all Bronze and Platinum benefits are available.

  • Waiting list for domestic award tickets
  • Use of ANA SUITE LOUNGE
  • Priority baggage claim (FIRST)
  • Priority boarding (GROUP 1)
  • Extension of mileage expiration date
  • Selective benefits exclusive to “Diamond Service” members

A cool original name tag is also a nice bonus. (Image from official website)

Waiting list for domestic award tickets

This service is only available to Diamond members. You can wait for a domestic ticket to be booked and boarded using an ANA flight number on ANA Group-operated flights or codeshare flights.

Use of ANA SUITE LOUNGE

You can use the ANA Suite Lounge and ANA Lounge by presenting your digital card or ANA Status Card. Also, up to one accompanying person may enter the room.

ANA SUITE LOUNGE

The airports are Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, New Chitose Airport, Itami Airport, Fukuoka Airport, and Naha Airport. Honolulu Airport is the only overseas airport.

Priority baggage claim (FIRST)

When traveling on ANA Group-operated flights and connecting flights to/from Star Alliance member airlines or Star Alliance Connecting Partners, you can have your baggage labeled with priority tags. Once you arrive, you will receive priority.

A "FIRST" tag will be added to your baggage tag.

Only Diamond members can use the ``FIRST'' tag on domestic flights, meaning they will be the first to receive it.

On international flights, if you are boarding an ANA Group operated flight, you will be given a "FIRST" tag, just like on domestic flights.

Priority boarding (GROUP 1)

  3. Group2: Platinum Super Flyers Stara Gold Premium Class
  4. Group 3, 4, 5: General boarding (window side → middle seat → aisle seat)

Extension of mileage expiration date

Strictly speaking, it can be used by Diamond members and those with 1 million lifetime miles or more.

Miles are normally valid for three years, but they do not expire during your Diamond membership. It will actually last indefinitely. If you are no longer a Diamond member, your miles will expire at the end of the month (3 years) 36 months from then.

Selective benefits exclusive to “Diamond Service” members

This is a selective benefit that only Diamond Service members can receive. Benefits are updated and prepared every year, including 60,000 yen worth of ANA Sky Coins and 12 upgrade points.

in conclusion

Above is the list of benefits of ANA Premium Member Status. Bronze, Platinum, and Diamond status will be awarded depending on the Premium Points you earn. ANA's premium member service benefits have considerable benefits in that they make traveling more comfortable.

If you often fly ANA, why not aim to obtain the status?
