Westin Tokyo breakfast buffet review (The Terrace after renovation)

The Westin Tokyo is a European-style luxury hotel located in a corner of Ebisu Garden Place. Although it is only a 7-minute walk from Ebisu Station, you can reach the hotel through a covered walkway without getting wet even on rainy days thanks to the moving walkway and underpass.

This time I stayed at this hotel, so I will write a blog review of the breakfast. For breakfast, there were many special dishes offered, so I will introduce them one by one. Our visit was on a Sunday, so it was very crowded.

Breakfast Buffet The
breakfast buffet features many dishes that allow you to enjoy the ingredients themselves, allowing you to experience Westin's commitment to ingredients. We also offer an Eat Well menu consisting of low-calorie, nutrient-dense foods. By eating them in combination, you can consume nutrients more deliciously and more efficiently. (From official website)

The menu is Japanese, Western, and Chinese, and is packed with specialties such as freshly made omelets, freshly made rice balls, and a noodle bar.

Reception/crowd status

There is a reception near The Bar. Probably because it was Sunday when I visited and there were a lot of guests, there were about 10 people in line, so depending on the timing, you might have to be prepared for a long wait. It was especially crowded around 9:30am, just before the last order.

When it's your turn, ask to be guided to your seat.

Menu introduction

Once you are shown to your seat, you will be asked if you would like a drink.

▼Order from this menu.

  • coffee
  • american coffee
  • Espresso (single or double)
  • cafe latte
  • cappuccino
  • Tea (straight or milk or lemon)
  • chamomile
  • peppermint
  • rooibos
  • Green Tea
  • roasted green tea
  • hot chocolate

Once you order your drinks, the food is served buffet style and you go and pick it up yourself.

Next, we will introduce the menu that is offered.

▼Ham, bacon, sausage

The cut items are arranged and served.

▼Pick up jumbo ham, bacon, and sausage from here. You cut the sausage yourself.

▼Crispy bacon, boiled eggs, soft-boiled eggs

The crispy fried bacon is exquisite.

There are two types of boiled eggs: regular and half-boiled.

▼ Yellowtail, salmon

It's grilled fish. The yellowtail is marinated in white soy sauce and grilled.

▼Herb chicken, paratha

▼Bean curry, peperoncino

▼Hash potatoes, fried tofu

▼Carrot, cauliflower, broccoli, purple radish, spring rolls

▼Noodle bar

This is a live kitchen where the chef makes noodles right in front of you.

You can order Dandan noodles or Pho. Both were delicious and I recommend trying both. If you have more than one person, I think it would be a good idea to share the food.

Toppings are also available, so don't forget.

▼Onigiri (one choice)

This is a rice ball made on the spot by 5-star rice master Gihei Hachidaime. This is highly recommended. Freshly made, fluffy rice balls are a rare treat.

There are many types of utensils. Connoisseurs order salt knots.

▼Banana, apple, kiwi

▼Vegetable dressing, vermicelli salad, white bean salad

▼Yogurt, fruit agar

▼Baguette

You will have to cut this yourself.

▼Jam, bread

▼Donuts, pain au chocolat, croissants

▼Deli bread, chocolate croissant

All of the breads are freshly baked and the donuts are quite delicious, so we recommend trying one of them.

▼Fruit

There were blueberries, grapes, grapefruit, oranges, and pineapples.

▼Maple syrup, honey

This is the syrup for the French toast in the live kitchen or the pancake machine on the right. It can't be helped, but it's pretty sticky.

A pancake machine is a machine that allows you to easily make fresh pancakes with the push of a button.

▼Drinks

We had detox water, orange, apple and lychee.

▼Picked up dishes

Next, I would like to introduce some of the dishes I received this time.

▼Rice ball

This time I had tuna tsukudani. It's warm and fluffy. Seaweed is also delicious. The rice is also delicious. I think it has a high degree of completion.

▼Bacon etc. are all juicy. It goes well with rice or bread.

▼We also had grilled fish and herb chicken. Replenishes the protein you need in the morning. The croissants are crispy and freshly baked. It's sure to be delicious. Also, the side dish bread is cheese bread made with avocado. I tried it because it was rare, but it was delicious.

▼Cheeses include blue cheese and camembert cheese. It has a strong salty taste, but goes well with crackers. The small bottle contains tofu topped with basil sauce. Umeboshi are large and have a luxurious feel. The taste of the rice.

▼Strawberry smoothie. Strawberry smoothie has a sweet taste that is easy to drink for both children and adults. Although it tasted delicious, I didn't get the impression that many people were eating it, perhaps because it was located in an inconspicuous place near the entrance.

▼French toast. This one will be served with maple syrup. Fluffy and melty. I think it would be great to have it as a dessert while drinking coffee.

▼There were also churros. I recommend trying it if it's freshly made and piping hot.

▼Fruits are carefully cut to a size that is easy to eat.

▼I had an iced coffee.

Above, we introduced the breakfast buffet at The Westin Tokyo. Overall, I get the impression that there are many carbohydrate-based dishes such as rice, bread, and noodles, or salty side dishes that go well with rice. Even though we call it carbohydrates, we can feel quite particular about it, so we recommend all of them.

In particular, you can enjoy the rice balls and freshly made rice balls, so please try them. The bread is also freshly baked. The noodle bar is also freshly made. I was able to enjoy each item one by one.
